The price is the same on all of them, so the choice comes down to bonus handling and preload timing.

There are two editions and no collector tier. Both carry the same release date and the same pre-order bonus.

The pre-order bonus and its deadline
This is the only part of the offer with a clock on it, and the clock stops one day after launch.
The Vintage Vice City Pack is included with every digital purchase made before November 20, 2026. That wording matters: you do not have to pre-order to get it. Buying digitally on launch day still qualifies. Physical pre-orders include it while stocks last, which is a weaker promise than the digital one.
Reported contents are a '55 Vapid Stanier with the Shore Court Garage near Ocean Beach, retro outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and a tropical weapon pattern. It is cosmetic and vehicle content, not story content.
Digital pre-orders through the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store also include one free month of GTA+. The headline benefits of GTA+ are tied to GTA Online, and no online mode has been announced for GTA 6 at launch, so its value depends entirely on whether you also play GTA Online.
The bonus is the smaller reason to pre-order. The bigger one is the download window.
The preload is the real pre-order advantage
Rockstar has confirmed exactly one hard clock detail so far, and it belongs to the preload.

Digital preload starts on November 12, 2026, from midnight local time. That is seven days before launch.
Physical copies contain a download code and go on sale from November 12 specifically to support preloading. Redeem the code and you join the same download window as digital buyers.
There is no disc. Rockstar told press that a disc will not be included in the box.
Buy on launch day and you start the download on launch day, on a network everyone else is hammering at the same time.
Rockstar has not published an install size. Reporting puts the planning range at roughly 150 to 200 GB, plus a day-one patch.
Rockstar on the physical version
Rockstar's own wording: the physical version, containing a download code inside the box, will be available starting November 12 to support pre-loading.
Most of the trouble around a Rockstar launch is not the game, it is the checkout page you landed on.
Buy from the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, or a retailer you already know. Nothing else has a confirmed supply of the game.
Any site selling a GTA 6 PC key, an early download or an APK is selling something that does not exist. There is no PC version and no mobile version.
Grey market key shops sell region-locked or unverified codes. The Vintage Vice City Pack and the free GTA+ month are tied to the storefront you buy from, so a cheap third-party code can quietly cost you the bonus.
Check which console the listing is for. A PS5 code does not work on Xbox and the other way round.
Physical means a code in a box. If a listing promises a disc, it is either wrong or not selling GTA 6.
