Add the 33-second cover art reveal from June 18, 2026 and a few short announcement teasers, and that is everything the official channel has published. Everything else circulating under a GTA 6 label is either fan editing, a reupload, or leaked material we do not cover here.

The reveal trailer. It introduced the setting, a modern Vice City in the state of Leonida, and the two protagonists, Jason and Lucia, and closed with a 2025 window. Rockstar had announced a December 5 premiere but published the official cut a day early after a low quality copy appeared online.
A longer look that widened the picture: more of Jason and Lucia's relationship, more of the supporting cast, and locations well beyond central Vice City. It was the first substantial new material in roughly seventeen months.
A 33-second clip unveiling the game's cover artwork, published between Trailer 2 and the Extended Look. No game scenes, so it gets a mention here but no player.
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, August 27, 2026
Roughly 26 minutes, and by a wide margin the longest look Rockstar has released. It showed extended gameplay and cutscenes rather than a cut trailer, including third person combat, driving, exploration and the two protagonists together. Rockstar stated it was captured entirely from in game footage on a PlayStation 5. It premiered on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET and arrived on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI site at 9 p.m. ET the same day.
The numbers around these trailers get quoted loosely, and they measure different things. Here is what each one actually counts.
Trailer 1: over 93 million YouTube views in 24 hours
YouTube itself reported more than 93 million views in the first 24 hours, a record for the platform at the time. It beat the previous non music record holder, a MrBeast video that had reached 59.4 million.
Guinness certified three records within 24 hours, using its own slightly lower count of around 90.4 million views and 8.9 million likes: most viewed video game reveal on YouTube, most liked video game reveal, and most viewed non music video in 24 hours. The gap between 93 million and 90.4 million is a measurement window difference, not a contradiction.
This figure counts all platforms combined, not YouTube alone, which is why it looks so much larger than the Trailer 1 number. Comparing 475 million to 93 million directly is comparing two different measurements.
No, and the distinction matters if you are searching for one and finding the other. Rockstar named the August 2026 video Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. It never used the label Trailer 3, on the video, on the Newswire or on the Grand Theft Auto VI site.
It also is not built like a trailer. A trailer is cut for pace. The Extended Look ran roughly 26 minutes of gameplay and cutscenes, closer to a gameplay presentation than to Trailer 1 or Trailer 2.
So if someone tells you Trailer 3 is out, they mean this video. And if someone tells you Trailer 3 is coming, they are guessing. Rockstar has not announced another video before launch.
